Disabled bathtubs: characteristics and how to use them

Electronic taps, the importance of avoiding contact with surfaces

Imagine to take a bath, and to do it in complete autonomy and protecting your privacy. Combine these two necessities with safety in the bathroom is an important right, especially for all those people suffering from disabilities, and that would like to make all the activities in in complete autonomy, respecting their integrity and privacy.   One of the most important topic is safety:

reduced mobility can cause dangerous domestic accidents.  This is the reason why a valid aid comes from the use of specific bathtubs, for elderly or disabled people, elements that are very important in to considering during the project of the bathroom.

Bathtubs for disabled are different from traditional models: in a standard bathtub it is necessary to pass a side, with positions really dangerous in some cases, lifting a leg to a height that in some case can be a real difficulty, and to sit on the same level of the feet, very difficult for elderly people or for people with disabilities. This operation is often complicated also for a person who assists a person with disabilities.

    To conclude

To guarantee the autonomy of every person is an essential right: for this reason, with the correct accessories, devices and tools, it is possible to start a real design project also for people with disabilities.
