Can the shower seat contribute to project a bathroom accessible and inclusive? The answer is yes, and now we explain why.

Accessibility inside the bathroom is still a very delicate issue that requires the right tools and accessories such as, for example, the shower seat that, thanks to its function of making people safety sitting under the shower, is a very important element, able to create a bathroom accessible to everyone.
In fact, designing and conceiving accessible spaces always means to ask yourself a question: is this space suitable for everyone with these accessories? And here with the word “all” we are going to define the people who, by gender, age and condition, can use that space with fluidity and without obstacles of any kind.
In this dimension that sees the design become “for All”, plan carefully bathroom accessories is a fundamental requirement.
The shower seat can therefore really contributes to make spaces and bathrooms more comfortable, with special attention for ergonomics and autonomy. To have the right aids installed inside the bathroom helps to reinforce one of the most important concepts for the individual, autonomy and privacy.

Obviously, the type of shower seat we are going to install will also be important: for example, there are folding shower seats, shower seats with central leg, and shower seats with backrest and armrests.

The difference between the three models is quite evident: the one with the armrests allows you to rest your arms; the armrests can be folded down as well as the seat; the one with the front leg allows a greater stability because the leg that rests on the floor and gives additional support; the folding model helps you to save space because when you don’t use it you can close it.
Now that we have clarified the different models, it is evident how the shower seat gives the possibility to build an inclusive and comfortable access to the bathroom.
