Sport, Accessibility, and Well-Being: Our Contribution to the Cortina Village

The 2026 Paralympic Games are a unique opportunity to celebrate not only the talent of the athletes but also the values that sport embodies: strength, determination, and the ability to overcome any limit. It’s an event that goes beyond competition; it’s a moment of inclusion and inspiration for anyone facing a challenge, big or small.

For us at Thermomat, being part of this journey has been an honor and a commitment that goes beyond the simple selection of technical solutions. We had the privilege of contributing to the creation of spaces that reflect our values, where Design for All is no longer an abstract concept, but a reality that welcomes, supports, and enables everyone to experience sport in its purest and most authentic form.

Every detail of the Village, from the bathrooms to the common areas, was designed to make daily life not only safe and functional but also aesthetically pleasing and accessible. Because we believe that inclusivity should never mean compromising on the quality of design. Every environment, every design choice, is a step towards a future where beauty and functionality are accessible to all, without barriers.

The power of sport lies in its ability to unite people, pushing each individual to give their best, regardless of the challenges they face. For us, design plays a fundamental role in this journey, creating spaces that inspire.

This has been a unique opportunity for us: we have been part of a beautiful project, accessible to athletes and people from all over the world. It has been an honor to help create environments that reflect the beauty of inclusion, and that will allow anyone to experience the magic of sport without barriers. This project, and our small but meaningful contribution, is something we will always be proud of, a milestone that will stay with us on our journey, reminding us of the importance of making a difference.
