FAQ
The VS004 bathtubs are available only as shown in the catalog, with the door on the right side relative to the seat (when viewed from the inside) and the faucet on the left side. They cannot be supplied without the faucet.
It is a thermostatic mixer specifically designed for precise regulation of radiant panels. The mixer is capable of handling large flows and powers (17 kW) and allows for the management of return water to the boiler thanks to a dedicated connection (see the diagrams and application schematic on the technical sheet). The mixer features an optimal construction design for installation in control panels or boilers.
Generally, it is preferable to have pressures above 0.5 bar and/or a flow rate above:
-
4 l/min for ½” and ¾” mixers
-
7 l/min for 1” mixers
The maximum operating pressure is 10 bar. For pressures above 5 bar, we recommend installing a pressure reducer.
Press RESET. Alternatively, without the remote control, short-circuit the sensor wires and keep them connected for at least 10 seconds, making sure not to block the sensor. Only for self-regulating sensors (such as for the RUEL07 model) and the 13-button remote control, you can press ADJ instead of RESET.
The Ministerial Decree of the Ministry of Public Works 14.6.1989 nr.236 stipulates that faucets with a lever operation should be preferred, but there are no specific regulations regarding the shape or material of the levers themselves.
Diverter valves and solar kits are used in all applications where the fluid path needs to be diverted based on the instantaneous temperature. They are particularly useful in solar thermal systems as they can withstand high temperatures. In the technical data sheets and instructions, you will find diagrams and technical information for proper use.
For the proper functioning of a thermostatic mixer, it is essential to ensure that the temperatures, flow rates, and pressures at the inlet are adequate (cold water at 15°C, hot water at 65°C, pressures at 3 bar, flow rates depending on the product). Check that the non-return valves at the inlet are free and working properly. If not, replace them. Check the cleanliness of any filters. In industrial thermostatic mixers, components cannot be replaced. In mixers with a thermostatic cartridge, the cartridge can be removed and cleaned in a vinegar or vinegar-water bath for a few hours, moving it occasionally to dissolve any limescale deposits. If the control knob feels stiff, the problem is likely due to limescale buildup. If, when setting the knob to 38°C, the water flow remains constant, and turning the knob towards the hot setting increases both the temperature and flow rate slightly, the hot water inlet may be restricted; a similar effect occurs when the cold water inlet is restricted. If the output temperature differs from the set value despite correct inlets, or if the knob has been unscrewed, recalibrate the cartridge.
Hard water can form scale and deposits that tend to block the cartridge. In this case, the cartridge can be removed from the faucet (after turning off the water supply) and cleaned in a vinegar or vinegar-water bath for a few hours, occasionally moving it to dissolve the limescale deposits, or it can be replaced with a new one.
Yes, a thermostatic cartridge and a thermostatic mixer can be recalibrated. It is necessary to check the incoming temperatures, pressures, and flow rates, as well as the outgoing temperature. Rotate the knob until the desired temperature is reached, then unscrew the screw on the knob, remove it, and reattach it, aligning the appropriate number on the scale with the index on the collar. The inlet pressures should be 3 bar, with temperatures of 15°C (cold) and 65°C (hot). For thermostatic cartridges, set the water temperature to 38°C and secure the knob with the number 38 aligned with the index. For thermostatic mixers, refer to the technical datasheet and product specifications.
These are faucets that dispense water at a constant temperature, where the pre-mixing is done with a small thermostatic or mechanical mixer before entering the faucet itself. In these devices, the user cannot modify the water temperature for safety or comfort reasons.

Because the supports are installed on very different types of walls (bricks, concrete, false walls, etc.). It will therefore be the plumber or specialized operator’s responsibility to choose the most appropriate type of fixing to ensure the support’s optimal hold and maximum safety.
Some guideline instructions can be downloaded from the download area of our website under the PRACTICAL DESIGN GUIDE, or consulted online in the BROWSE CATALOGS section (Saniline catalog).
The Ministerial Decree D.M. 236/89 specifies that the height of the grab bars from the floor level should be 80 cm.
The Ministerial Decree is nationally binding, but the designer must verify whether there are any Regional Decrees or Municipal Regulations in the area where the work is to be carried out, which may provide different or supplementary guidelines. In such cases, those regulations would take precedence.
The regulation currently governing the setup of accessible toilets for people with disabilities is mainly based on DM 236/89 for private and residential buildings and DPR 503/96 for public buildings, spaces, and services.
For more details on the current regulations, you can download the PRACTICAL DESIGN GUIDE from the download area of our website or consult it online in the BROWSE CATALOGS section (SANILINE catalog).
It is possible to add a toilet paper holder to the bar after purchase by simply using an additional stainless steel accessory that is fixed inside the bar.
The coded items cannot be modified, but upon verification of feasibility by the Technical Department, custom grab bars can be made in the painted, soft, and nylon series, using the codes for custom items (CSM-I, CSMAG-I, CSM-SF, CSMD-NY, CSMC-NY, CSMAG-NY). Different items cannot be assembled using individual parts from the nylon series. For more details on the codes, you can consult the Saniline catalog (section “GRAB BARS AND HANDRAILS”).
No, because modular handrails can only be used as handrails and cannot serve as aids for the disabled. Additionally, they do not have certifications and do not have a declared load capacity to withstand.
In general, the maximum load for a grab bar or device from Thermomat that bears the CE marking is 150 kg for devices in the painted steel and stainless steel series, while the load is 120 kg for aids in the nylon series. This rule applies to all devices, including grab bars, support rails, and shower seats. This load requirement must be supported by the wall fixing system of the device, which should be selected and installed in a way that the maximum load is sustainable. Inside the box of each product, there is an instruction sheet that provides guidelines for wall fixings. Additionally, the technical data sheets of individual products indicate the declared load.
The types of wall-mounted supports in the catalog are very different from each other in terms of material, functionality, and design.
Painted Series:
Made from galvanized steel tubing, painted. This is the most traditional series, typically found in any environment (public or private) with a dedicated bathroom. It guarantees stability, ease of cleaning, and long durability.
Soft Series:
Galvanized steel tubing, treated with THERMOSOFT (patented by Thermomat). An evolution of the traditional grab bar, with a grip that is 120% more effective than the painted series. The support feels smooth, warm, and soft to the touch.
Nylon Series:
Aluminum core tubing covered in nylon. Completely PVC-free. Self-extinguishing material (according to UL94: HBe V2).
Stainless Steel Series:
Supports made from AISI 304 stainless steel tubing (32mm diameter, polished). Plate and rosette made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
Style Series:
Made from 28mm diameter polished and chrome-plated brass tubing. Wall fixation without plates or rosettes: ideal for environments where safety is essential but where elegance and style should not be compromised.
The stainless steel drainage basin, item 2030, is suitable for installations with wall-mounted faucets, recessed faucets, or external faucets (e.g., RUMC204 with hand shower, RUMC202, RUMC203, or RUMC201, etc.).
Among the Thermomat washbasins, item 406 and item 426 can be fixed directly to the wall, while item 400 and item 400-EA require brackets (fixed, manual, or pneumatic).
The upper surface of the washbasin should be 80 cm above the floor level. For the drain, it is advisable to use a flexible siphon; the positioning of the supply and drain is standard.
The law (DPR 503/96) does not specify a fixed installation height; it is typically positioned in a way that is comfortable and not obstructive for the user.
A toilet for disabled persons must be installed according to the current laws (DPR 503/96). It should be installed at a height from the floor between 45 and 50 cm. Additionally, the front part of the toilet should be positioned at a distance of 75 to 80 cm. This distance is met either with so-called monobloc toilets or by creating a wall behind the toilet to recover the missing distance to meet the legal requirements.
Toilets with a bidet function are the same as those for disabled persons, but they have been fitted with a connection that provides a stream of water into the basin. The water flow should be controlled by a mixer (preferably thermostatic), which is purchased separately and feeds the connection provided with the toilet via a flexible hose.
It is not necessary to replace the entire seat; simply detach the damaged or worn slat and replace it with a new plastic slat (item available upon request).
Shower seats should be installed with the seat height from the floor between 45 and 50 cm. In the case of the hanging seat (code SDA), once the handrail is fixed at 80 cm, according to the regulations, the seat will have a height between 45 and 50 cm.
For use by people with disabilities, the installation of floor-level shower trays is required by law (DPR 503/96). The trays must be fixed to the floor with a suitable slope for water drainage into the drain and creating a solid base of support for the tray, which should rest completely on a rigid support, not just in the fixing areas. The height of the tray installation relative to the floor level should not create an obstacle for wheelchair entry/exit.
Shower enclosures with limited height (1 meter), full-height shower enclosures with vertically foldable doors, or shower curtains are commonly used. The placement of the shower enclosure should be flush with the inside of the shower tray, which is why the actual dimensions of the shower enclosures are slightly smaller than those of the tray.
The sinks in the BOING series do not require specific maintenance. They are resistant to the chemicals commonly used in household cleaning, including bleach, ammonia, detergents, hydrogen peroxide, and caustic soda.
Safety: It absorbs impacts caused by accidents and falls.
It is an inert material that does not decompose into polluting components. Moreover, it is fully recyclable.
Hygienic: Easy to clean, does not absorb dust and moisture, and prevents mold and fungi.
Durable: Resists high temperatures, water temperatures up to 70°C, steam, dry heat, and carelessly left lit cigarettes. Colors are resistant to time and UV rays.

On the technical sheet (see the “shower area” section on the website), you can easily determine how to order the tray and where the drain will be located depending on the size of the tray. For the height of the drain outlet, a PDF can be provided upon request.
It is a new material composed of various minerals: quartz, silica, and dolomite, bonded together by a resin matrix through a chemical polymerization process.
